csBackDup is a single binary — engine, web dashboard and CLI — for Windows 10/11 and Linux. You pick folders on this computer (Source) and a destination (Storage). Files are split with FastCDC, compressed, then sealed with authenticated encryption before they leave the machine. Chunk names are HMAC-derived, so the store never sees plaintext names or contents. Deduplication is per instance on this install. Restore is by snapshot, with a PDF report.

Compress, then AEAD seal (ChaCha20-Poly1305 or AES-256-GCM) on this machine. Chunk object names are HMAC-derived so the store cannot correlate plaintext hashes.

Where encrypted data is kept — disk or cloud. Set the encryption password (empty = use licence password).

Files and folders on this PC. The picker lets you select what this instance will protect.

Start backup or add a schedule

Click Start backup, or add a Backup schedule (hourly to yearly) on the Backup page.
